My favorite superhero is Spiderman. He is selfless, determined, brave, confident, and humble. Hero-a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal. There are so many heros in the world, some that are only seen as heroic to one person, but are still heros. A hero doesn’t have to be someone that has super powers, or has a movie made about them, but can be someone who has been a role model to just one person, and has influenced a life for the better.
I think that Beowulf is alright, but it wouldn’t be a top choice of mine. It really is not my favorite type of story, and i’m not a big fan of Beowulf himself. I think that he does a lot of his “heroic deeds” just for the fame and because it’s become expected of him. I think the guy at the end of the story is more of a hero than Beowulf himself. The language itself isn’t that difficult to understand, it’s more the format of the story and the flow of it. Some reading strategies are, to read it slowly, outloud, and repetedly if there’s a certain really difficult part.
